Suh Wang Mo II

A thousand thanks to for this photo, I absolutely love it.
This is a shot of my Suh Wang Mo cosplay that I wore at A-kon 21. This costume was truly a labour of love, as I sacrificed many nights worth of sleep, caffeinated beverages, and countless dollars on the altars of the sewing gods in order to have this thing finished in time for the con. It was all worth it, though, because I ended up taking home first place in the Friday Hall Cosplay!
There's a short write-up and more photos on my CosCom page for this costume. Since the panel in the manhwa was extremely tiny (less than a square inch panel of a banquet scene. O.o) , I just took the basic shape and ran with it. Since the costumes in the manhwa were based off of ancient Chinese costumes, I looked around for examples of hanfu and did a couple of sketches before finally settling on this design. I'm quite pleased with the final product, even though I do want to add some more embroidery eventually. ^^
